MoonPay invests $100 million to acquire Israeli security company Sodot and establish an institutional business division

According to Bloomberg, cryptocurrency payment company MoonPay has acquired Israeli crypto security startup Sodot and established a new division called "MoonPay Institutional," focusing on serving institutional clients' needs for digital assets.

This division will provide services such as trading, tokenized securities, payments, wallet management, and stablecoin issuance to large traditional financial institutions. Former acting chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Caroline D. Pham will lead this division, joining MoonPay at the end of 2025 as Chief Legal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer.
