Coinbase is advancing internal testing of AI agents

According to Decrypt, Coinbase is testing AI agents integrated with Slack and email to provide high-level feedback to employees as virtual colleagues. The first systems are designed based on the decision-making styles of co-founder Fred Ehrsam and former CTO Balaji Srinivasan, with the "Fred" agent assisting in refining documents, strategies, and concepts, while the "Balaji" agent focuses on inspiring innovation and new perspectives.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that the next step will make it easier for employees to create more agent employees, and in the future, agents may not necessarily be digital avatars of real people, adding that the number of AI agents at the company may soon exceed that of human employees.
